GEOTRACES at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026 February 22–27, 2026 | Glasgow, Scotland
The Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026 in Glasgow was an important gathering for the GEOTRACES community. Four sessions covering key topics in trace element and isotope biogeochemistry drew strong participation from U.S. and international researchers:
- Multi-tracer approaches to understanding and quantifying marine biogeochemical processes
- Coastal, shelf, and island mass effects on trace element biogeochemistry
- Mercury in polar waters: sources, transformations, and bioaccumulation
- Revisiting the ocean silicon cycle: pathways, stoichiometry and climate feedbacks
Beyond the scientific sessions, the GEOTRACES community connected at the SCOR Booth, where a live walkthrough of the newly released IDP2025 and the DOoR data submission portal gave attendees hands-on access to the latest data tools.
